FABRIC/ DOLL ARTIST

SISTAH-TUDE

is a Unique line of Handcrafted Dolls and Cultural Gifts. In1993, Patrice Cole was inspired by the rich colors and prints of the AFRICANTEXTILES to begin working creatively with this cloth. She put it on T- shirts and tote bags and even made african attire ; then upon the inspirations from a doll collecting co-worker ,started making the AFRICAN QUEEN doll. Around this same time Patrice's inner voice said "SISTAH'TUDE ; a sistah with an attitude" and realizing an attitude is what a sistah has to have to move forward , she adopted this as not only her business name but a way of life.Recently she built upon this philosophy:

GRATITUDE+ FORTITUDE= SISTAH'TUDE (after experiencing some of the peaks and valleys along life's journey)

Sistah'tude hand crafted jewelry back in the 90's before jewelry making was"hot", but stopped to pursue other interest including a M.ED in Guidance and Counseling. On Thankgiving Day 2012 after praying for inspiration , GRATITUDE GIRLS were born. Each GRATITUDE GIRL is a brooch fashioned with gemstones, tassles , beads and wire to represent a little lady that can adorn a scarve or lapel.

SISTAH-TUDE DOLLS WERE  JURIED INTO SC ARTISANS CENTER IN 2016 AND GRATITUDE PINS IN 2017
